Introduction to Alliance Mobile Care
The most experienced mobile intensive care unit (MICU) in the region, Alliance Mobile
Care provides more than 20 years of expert, reliable service for all ground transportation needs. It combines the experience of Christ
Mobile Care, the first MICU in the Tristate, with University Mobile Care, which specialized in basic and advanced life support (BLS and
ALS). Mobile Care strives to ensure patient's needs are met using the most appropriate level of care through a collaborative and
multidisciplinary approach.
Services include both inter-facility patient transports as well as scene responses for
the University of Cincinnati campus, which has a daytime population near 65,000. Service is also provided to physician offices and to
various special events through out the Greater Cincinnati area, including:
- UC campus events
- Eastgate Rowing Regatta
- American Heart Association Mini-Marathon
- Kicks for Kids race
- Football games
- Concerts
- Student nurse and paramedic observation
Accreditation
Alliance Medical Transport, which includes Mobile Care and University Air Care, is the
only service in the region to be certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS) in helicopter, MICU,
ALS and BLS transport. This is the highest standard in which a medical transport services can be held. Alliance Medical Transport is
only the second service in the nation to be accredited at all four levels of transport.
